Welcome to The London Street Surgery
The doctors and staff at the London Street Surgery in Reading are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centered healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check ups.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and do send us any feedback.
Patients not attending Appointments
Over the last few months, we have seen an increase in patients failing to turn up or cancel their appointments. This is frustrating both for the practice and also for patients, as this is causing a waste of resources. Please help us to help you by cancelling any appointments that you cannot make, as these can be offered to fellow patients.

CQC Report 13th April 2016
As detailed above, following their inspection of the surgery on Wednesday 13th April 2016, the CQC have taken the practice out of ‘special measures’ and placed the surgery in ‘requires improvement’.
The surgery is delighted to be removed out of ‘special measures’, this is due to all the hard work and determination by all surgery staff members.
The report highlights many positives within the surgery, and praises the improvements made following the report which we received in October 2015.
The surgery already has an action plan in place for our next step, which is to come out of requires improvement and be awarded a ‘good’ rating. We are confident this can be achieved if we all continue to work to our main goal, which is to make London Street Surgery a successful and safe practice, for both our patients and staff alike.
We will also like to place on record our thanks for the support we have from all of our patients, and the support we have received from our Patient Participation Group (PPG).
