The Midwife is specially trained in the care of pregnant women and carries out all normal deliveries. The Midwife now arranges an ultrasound scan at 10 weeks of pregnancy so please book an appointment with her as soon as possible when your pregnancy is confirmed. During the pregnancy, appointments with the doctor alternate with appointments with the Midwife. When making antenatal appointments, please tell the Receptionist. Postnatal appointments are carried out by the doctors at the same time as the six /eight-week baby check.
